摘要: A method for performing image compression that eliminates redundant and invisible components. The uses a Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) each DCT coefficient yielded by the transform is quantized an entry in quantization matrix which determines perceived quality bit rate of being compressed. present invention adapts or customizes to comprises visual masking luminance contrast techniques error pooling technique all resulting minimum perceptual any given rate, error.
