摘要: Commensal bacteria play an important role in the formation of immune system but their maintenance homeostasis at ocular surface and lacrimal gland remains poorly understood. This study investigated eye phenotype germ-free conventional C57BL/6J mice. Our results showed that mice had significantly greater corneal barrier disruption, goblet cell loss, total inflammatory CD4⁺ T infiltration within compared to conventionally housed group. A frequency CD4⁺IFN-γ⁺ cells was observed glands. Females exhibited a more severe males. Adoptive transfer isolated from female into RAG1KO transferred Sjogren-like keratoconjunctivitis. Fecal microbiota transplant reverted dry decreased levels similar These findings indicate have spontaneous keratoconjunctivitis Sjogren syndrome patients demonstrate commensal function maintaining on surface. Thus, manipulation intestinal has potential become novel therapeutic approach treat Syndrome.
