摘要: The biological mechanisms, ecological and observational studies indicate increased morbidity mortality in vitamin D deficiency, while the controlled, randomized supplementation trials - carried out mostly deficient patients have shown no or some marginal benefits, preventing institutionalized elderly individuals' falls fractures. Clarity is also disturbed by that primary end points of intervention were generally not extraskeletal. ideal serum 25-hydroxyvitamin levels considerably controversial: there clearly a J-curve, but optimal range uncertain. All these uncertainties appear guidelines which are, however, concordant they do recommend (i) population-wide screening (ii) with extraskeletal aim beyond prevention falls. Certain suggest calcium increases incidence cardiovascular events, others show neutral effect this respect. There are several ongoing directly designed for events. Orv.
