摘要: Chronic ulceration of the lower leg is a frequent condition in western civilisation causing substantial reduction life quality patients concerned and considerable costs for health care systems. Although most ulcers (approximately 80 - 90 %) are caused by vascular disorders, rare underlying diseases may exist approximately 10 %, e. g. metabolic diseases, vasculitis, haematological clotting disorders infections as well ulcerating skin malignancies, exogenous factors genetic defects. Knowledge these differential diagnoses crucial importance applying specific diagnostic procedures generating effective treatment strategies.
