摘要: The performance of the Hybrid Capture 2 (HC2) test for human papilloma virus (HPV) detection depends on prevalence infection. However, current HC2 manufacturer recommended interpretative algorithm is same all women. This test, which may be particularly useful in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women given morphologic complexity their Pap tests, could affected by overall lower HPV infection this age group. We investigated equivocal weakly positive tests 50 years older high-grade dysplasia (CIN2+) follow-up specimens. All data from 1,067 consecutive specimens 85 additional ≥ 50-years-old with were analyzed. Follow-up within these ranges reviewed. No CIN2+ was found 49 cases or results. resulted “positive” reports 63% initial due to retests mostly range. These results suggest that benefit higher thresholds. also reported as values (RLU/CO) interpreted view risk factors.
