摘要: Hemangioma is a well-recognized cause of airway obstruction in the infant with stridor. Corticosteroid and laser therapy are effective stabilizing most cases. There are, however, some extensive lesions that not adequately managed by these modalities. This report describes use recombinant interferon alfa-2a 15 patients life-threatening hemangiomas. All had failed corticosteroid and/or therapy. Multiple upper sites were involved, including base tongue, supraglottis, subglottis, trachea, mediastinum. Eleven have completed doing well. Four resolving on drug regimen. Life-threatening unresponsive to conventional treatment should be considered for trial alfa-2a.
