摘要: The cyclic voltammetry of benzo-15-crown-5 ether-vinyl-bipyridyl ligands, their ruthenium(II) complexes and the ‘model’ bismethoxyphenyl-vinyl-bipyridyl ligand has been investigated in acetonitrile. ether units solution are sensitive to supporting electrolyte, being more difficult electro-oxidize on binding sodium or magnesium cations. tris(ligand) can be reductively electropolymerized form smooth, adherent electroactive orange films. For these films, irreversible electro-oxidation is electrocatalysed by RuIII sites only observed first voltammogram. RuIII/II redox potentials insensitive changes apparent differences due variable liquid-junction at interface between reference electrode electrolyte solutions. Electropolymerized complex films exhibit transparent/orange electrochromicity.
