摘要: The polymer structure and mechanism of formation electroreductively polymerized 4-methyl-4'-vinyl-2,2'-bipyridine-containing metal complexes are described. Results from TLC laser desorption Fourier transform mass spectrometry demonstrate that normal «polyvinyl-type» chains formed through chain propagation. For electrochemically poly-Fe(vbpy) 3 2+ an average length seven repeat monomer units is determined. Separate copolymerization studies mono- tris(vinyl)-substituted provide additional information on the nature polymerization process
