摘要: The neurophysiological mechanisms responsible for producing cognitive changes in old age are poorly understood. Chapters 1 and 2 mention a number of striking neuronal physiology structure that occur with normal aging accelerated more widespread during pathological states such as Alzheimer’s disease. Some these, neurofibrillary tangles senile plaques, highly correlated impairment; others, lipofuscin, not; whereas still the production chromatin, have an uncertain status this regard. Whatever cellular finally shown to be related associated aging, it must borne mind these do not affect psychological function directly but rather indirectly by altering working systems. From psychologist’s point view, then, consequences or biochemical rrnghTbe best understood focusing on larger systems than microstructure those For example, although degeneration is deficits, particular deficits noted each individual will determined brain structures most severely affected.
