摘要: A death from cyanide poisoning during operation was attributable to the use of approximately 400 mg (10 per Kg) sodium nitroprusside as an hypotensive agent. Autopsy levels 0.5 cent in blood and 0.3 urine thiocyanate too low measure either, suggest abnormality metabolism. The lethal dose appears be 7 Kg. safe regimen would 3.5 Kg anticipated total for period hypotension. Patients resistant full effects nitroprusside, or unable maintain level hypotension, requiring more than achieve required effect time, may accumulate toxic blood. with Leber’s optic atrophy, tobacco amblyopia possibly those other nerve atrophies should not receive any precursor.
