摘要: Hypertension is a public health problem in Brazil. It diagnosed adults when blood pressure (BP) levels reaches, or exceeds, 140/90 mmHg. The important role that physical exercise has this picture well documented literature, and its practice considered strategy for prevention treatment of the disease. In thread, studies show presence arterial hypotension after execution strength exercise, scientific literature recommends utilization training as an auxiliary to aerobic program hypertensive individuals, due, mainly, benefits it provides neuromuscular system. present study presents review about acute effects realization behavior BP, specially focusing multiples sets rest interval between these sets. Important cardiovascular responses occur during and, among these, rise BP might be one occurrences biggest risk. Because that, very professional evaluates carefully responses, together with their causes, way they can better circumvented. appears related Valsalva maneuver, time considering longer generates bigger rises. also seems cumulative effect over sets, highest values last executed comparison initials, suggesting have influence picture. Studies reviewed conflicting results theme, however methodological differences indicates need more researches area, possible pause responses. Key-words: interval, hypertension, training.
