摘要: Abstract Sea-surface films and the corresponding 10-cm subsurface waters were sampled on three cruises to eutrophic oligotrophic in Gulf of California off west coast Baja California. The following constituents properties measured: NH 4 + , NO 2 − 3 PO 3− SiO 2− urea, ATP Chl- a ; dissolved particulate organic carbon nitrogen; lipid, protein carbohydrate; total viable nitrifying bacteria; simulated situ bacterial heterotrophy; microplankton primary productivity; surface potential film pressures; ultraviolet absorption; film-formation rates using chemical methods. Mean enrichment factors (film concentration/10-cm concentration) for were: 1.1–2.4 soluble inorganic nutrients, carbon, nitrogen, carbohydrate, lipid; 1.3–2.0 ATP, 1.1–3.7 nitrogen both protein. Particulate only never depleted relative waters. Systematic, significant correlations between various biological parameters measured few, reflecting complexity processes which form maintain films. Protein, carbohydrate lipid accounted 15–114% (mean = 50%) 14–42% 28%) Lipid was not major identified constituent films, averaging 18% 2.5% carbon. There more samples compared water; there also mater. Microplankton plus averaged 16% 19%
