摘要: With the emergence of Hartree-Fock independent particle model in physics and chemistry, correlation problem, which Lowdin defined /1/, has constituted one primary research areas within quantum chemistry. Lowdin’s contributions to this topic are enormous, including among them his work density matrix theory /2/, extended methods where he proposed projected /3/ alternate molecular orbital method /4/, infinite-order perturbation /5/.
