摘要: The discovery, at Kabbaldurga quarry, Karnataka, south India1–3, of patches charnockite apparently in an arrested state development has refocused attention on the mechanism formation. In particular, relative roles CO2 and H2O during high grade metamorphism can be studied such area. During influx a CO2-rich volatile phase, may liberated as result reduction hydration by breakdown hydrous minerals4. P–T conditions which this occurs are important because, with increase XH2O, allow anatexis could initiated advance phase. Indeed, Weaver5 suggested that K-rich acid charnockites found Pallavaram, Madras6, developed due to changes composition before onset conditions. exposure quarry is interpreted here displaying evidence process taken place.
