摘要: Summary Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a minimally invasive approach, in which photosensitiser compound activated by exposure to visible light. The activation of the sensitiser drug results several chemical reactions, such as production oxygen reactive species and other molecules, whose presence biological site leads damage target cells. Although PDT has been primarily developed combat cancerous lesions, this can be employed for treatment conditions, including infectious diseases. A wide range microorganisms, Gram positive negative bacteria, viruses, protozoa fungi have demonstrated susceptibility antimicrobial photodynamic therapy. This might consist an alternative management fungal infections. Antifungal successfully against Candida albicans also dermatophytes. strain-dependent antifungal effect influence medium are important issues considered. Besides, choice should consider characteristics treated, well depth penetration light into skin. In present review, state-of-the-art discussed analysed.
