摘要: The phenomenon of consuming synthetic cannabinoids (“Spice”) for recreational purposes is a fairly recent trend. However, consumption cannabis dates back millennia, with numerous accounts written on the experience its consumption, and thousands scientific reports published effects constituents in laboratory animals humans. Here, we focus consolidating literature “Spice” compounds various behavioral assays, including assessing abuse liability, tolerance, dependence, withdrawal, potential toxicity. In most cases, are compared those Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Methodological aspects, such as modes administration other logistical issues, also discussed. As original molecules never were intended human scientifically based information about toxicity short- long-term very limited. Consequently, preclinical studies still nascent stage. Research needed to address addiction effects, propensity producing tissue/organ toxicity, these cannabimimetic compounds.
