摘要: This survey research effort investigated the relationship between 11 selected Geographic Information System (GIS) functions and three (time, cost, quality) highway transportation construction-project success criteria. The population included engineers information technology professionals in United States who worked area. sample members of various appropriate email groups. No significant GIS function use construction project criteria (time cost) was found. third criterion (customers specification−quality) not tested because lack variability responses. There were differences organizations that focused on highway, street, road, public sidewalk jobs other different as related to following two functions: Terrain Modeling Traffic Management. Some very close .05 level significance Estimating Project Costs, Analysis, 2D 3D Visualization, Route/Site Selection. Recommendations following: (a) Engineers managers should consider using for highways, streets, roads, or projects; (b) Special attention be given ensuring training is provided all levels organization.
