摘要: Purpose – The purpose of this research is to determine how project managers attribute information technology (IT) success and failure.Design/methodology/approach IT personnel from large Australian organisations completed an adapted version the Attributional Styles questionnaire, which asked them causes along a number attribution dimensions, for projects have either succeeded or failed.Findings results indicate that support workers failure external factors, whilst attributing themselves. On other hand, executive management took more balanced perspective factors only partially themselves, whereas they significant personal responsibility failure.Practical implications More junior professionals operational employees can learn their senior in failure.
