摘要: Phytoplankton size is important for the pelagic food web and oceanic ecosystems. However, of phytoplankton difficult to quantify because methodological constraints. To address this limitation, we have exploited package effect develop a new method estimating mean cell individual populations. This was validated using data set that contained simultaneous measurements absorption distributions from 13 species. Comparing with existing methods, our more efficient good accuracy, it could potentially be applied in current situ optical instruments.
