摘要: Abstract Background Rubella-containing vaccine (RCV) became available in China 1993 and was introduced nationwide into the Expanded Immunization Program (EPI) 2008. We evaluated implementation impact of RCV from 2 years prior to introduction through 10 years after introduction. Methods analyzed lot-release (doses distributed) data, 1- 2-dose coverage, rubella data China’s disease surveillance system describe current status changes epidemiology between 2005 2017. Results While included routine immunization program 2008, its full required 4 years due sporadic supply constraints. RCV1 RCV2 coverage increased 51.5% 39.0% 2008 >95% during 2012 2016. From 2017, annual incidences (per million) ranged 91.09 down 1.16 2017; reductions occurred all age groups. The proportion cases among individuals ≥20 years old 0.97% 31.2% In better-developed eastern China, most were adults; central western children or adolescents. Conclusions marked decrease a result inclusion RCVs EPI targeting less than achieving high level coverage. Rubella reduced absolute terms, changed older with substantial inter-province variation. Ensuring vaccination school identifying strategies reach adults measles combined vaccines will be important hasten elimination prevent CRS outbreaks.
