摘要: Changes in the behavioral activity of elderly people living alone at home may be an indicator their functional health status. In this paper, we evaluate characteristics a pyro-electric infrared detector (PIRD) and demonstrate that sensitivity can increased if four sensors, one each corner room, is installed (instead one). The experimental results suggest spatial PIRD non-uniform different distances for walking speeds. If used room dimension half maximum detection range PIRD, there exist dead points where very low, giving rise to false alarms. Hence, single fails respond small movements (hand etc.) extended range. Four detectors helps increase whereby even such as reading book, telephonic conversation etc. identified.
