Hypogeous fungi in Mediterranean maquis, arid and semi-arid forests

摘要: Hypogeous fungi are common in arid and semi-arid areas of the Mediterranean basin and, particular, they found Italy, Spain, northern African countries (especially Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia), Middle East. These some species belonging to genus Tuber desert truffles (Terfezia spp. Tirmania spp.) form ascomata considerable economic value. In this review, a panorama hypogeous fungal diversity information on their ecology ecosystems have been reported; economical importance cultivation potential also underlined.
