摘要: Cost-effectiveness (CE) thresholds are being discussed more frequently and there have been many new developments in this area; however, is a lack of understanding about what mean their implications. This paper provides an overview the CE threshold literature. First, meaning key assumptions involved (perfect divisibility, marginal increments budget, etc.) highlighted using hypothetical example, use historic/heuristic estimates noted along with limitations. Recent endeavours to estimate empirical value thresholds, both from supply side demand side, then presented. The impact on future directions for field, such as across sectors incorporation multiple criteria beyond quality-adjusted life-years measure ‘value’, highlighted. Finally, number common issues misconceptions associated addressed.
