摘要: Abstract : Investigation into whether the cognitive mechanism of suppression underlies differences in adult comprehensions skills are reported. Less-skilled comprehenders less-efficiently reject inappropriate meaning ambiguous words (e.g., playing card vs garden tool spade), incorrect forms homophones patients patience), highly-typical-but-absent members scenes tractor a farm scene), and superimposed on pictures surrounding words. however, less-skilled not less cognizant what is contexually appropriate, fact, they benefit from biasing context just as much (and perhaps more) more-skilled do. So, do no have difficulty enhancing appropriate information. Instead, it suggested that suffer less-efficient mechanism, which we conclude an important component general comprehension skill.
