摘要: A new method for retting of flax stem was introduced by using microwave energy. The combined effect pre-soaking, volumetric heating and the non-thermal energy were applied in stem. Effective observed various combinations Microwave treatment times samples soaked 24 36 h with treatments 20 min showed better efficiency. Fried tests, Near Infrared analysis fibre diameter done to find out proved experimentally. Colourimetric tests tensile strength conducted compare quality fibres after no significant changes physical qualities observed. water released pre-soaking not contaminated because less microbial activity short duration entire process. In industrial point view, this is acceptable ease recyclability pre-soaked comparably
