Effect of microwave and hot air drying on flax straw at controlled temperatures

摘要: Flax stems were subjected to microwave drying at controlled temperatures. The rate of was then compared with conventional hot air drying. product temperature maintained 40°C, 60°C and 80°C for both moisture content flax stem about 70% (wet basis). conducted in a apparatus which recorded mass, temperature, incident power, reflected power inlet/outlet temperature. final experiment set 9% Microwave-convective ensured 30% reduction time straw as Curve fitting different mathematical models carried out all the fitted well tensile strength straw, measured an Instron apparatus, increased increase processing processes. Hot dried showed greatest modulus elasticity temperatures significant difference.
