摘要: Two experiments investigated very young children's use of different kinds stimulus information to encode and search for the location a hidden object. age groups (21- 27-month-old children) watched as small object was in one four containers. After 30-second delay, they were encouraged retrieve When hiding places visually distinctive, performance excellent, there no differences. However, when same distinctive visual less integral aspect location, differences appeared; older children more successful than younger ones at using cues that associated with (but not intrinsic to) place. Cue salience also shown be important, real-object facilitating picture cues. In addition, varied function whether remained stationary or not. The data indicate have difficulty integrating unrelated information. Information is successfully exploited it place an may ineffective intrinsic, is, must themselves integrate what remembered. particular, linking together separate relations among objects. results from these studies are related existing literature on memory children, general progression ability service identified.
