摘要: Abstract The current study looked at two theoretical proposals explaining toddlers’ abilities to use cue information for recovering a hidden object that had rolled down ramp behind an occluded screen. These approaches, the theory of directed attention and landmark-based account, make different predictions regarding efficacy obliquely aligned position. Accordingly, search by forty 24-month olds, forty-two 30-month forty-one 36-month olds toy was cued using either short versus long cue, or vertically were compared. Analyses accuracy revealed children more successful when faced with as opposed cues, vertical oblique cues. findings support approach, object-directed are discussed reference their implications spatial orientation generally.
