The Association of Program Directors in Radiology Well-Being 2019 Survey: Identifying Residency Gaps and Offering Solutions

摘要: Abstract Purpose The Well-Being subcommittee of the Association Program Directors in Radiology (APDR) Common Requirements (CPR) Ad Hoc Committee and APDR Academic Output Task Force jointly conducted a study members’ current level understanding implementation 2017 ACGME CPR regarding well-being. Methods A survey instrument consisting 10 multiple-choice open-ended questions was distributed to 322 active members APDR. focused on three main content areas: member knowledge CPR, composition department well-being curricula, residency innovations. Results In all, 121 (37.6%) responded survey. Of those, 67% rated their requirements as incomplete. Responses also indicated that 74% departments have not implemented comprehensive curriculum; 53% programs do offer mandated self-screening tool; 15% respondents residents protected time for medical, mental health, dental appointments; 42% trainees access an institutional health clinic. Survey comments numerous individual initiatives from across membership. Conclusions results indicate many substantial work remaining achieve compliance. Well-being innovations were included effort share best practices.
