摘要: Predatory journals operate as vanity presses, typically charging large submission or publication fees and requiring little peer review. The consequences of such are wide reaching, affecting the integrity legitimate they attempt to imitate, reputations departments, colleges, universities their contributors, actions accreditation bodies, authors, perhaps even generosity academic benefactors. Using a stakeholder analysis, our study predatory suggests that most stakeholders gain in short run from publishing only editors owners these benefit long run. We also discuss counter-measures administrative faculty can employ thwart publishing.
