摘要: Abstract The objective was to determine whether occurrence of persistent corpora lutea in cows with pyometra could be explained by accumulation prostaglandins and interferons the uterus. Pyometra induced treatment hCG, followed intrauterine infusions iodine Actinomyces pyogenes . Five seven treated developed as indicated extended estrous cycles (30–37 + d) presence purulent uterine exudate at slaughter (Day 37 after estrus). Mean (± standard error) concentrations E2 F2α for were 34.7 ± 14.4 96.3 28 ng/ml, while flushings remaining 2 averaged 1.85 0.7 0.9 0.2 respectively. Based on Western blotting, none had detectable either interferon-α or interferon-τ secretions. In conclusion, results increased prostaglandin secretion. While secretion cytokines associated bacterial infection may contribute this effect, there no evidence study suggest that are involved mechanism which causes persistence corpus luteum bovine pyometra.
