Early social isolation decreases the expression of calbindin D-28k in rat cerebellar Purkinje cells

摘要: The main objective of this study was to analyze the effects early social isolation on expression calbindin D-28k (CAD-28k) in cerebellar Purkinje cells. Sprague-Dawley rats were reared either (IC) or socially housed conditions (SC) from postnatal days 18-32. Half each group sacrificed at 32 age and cerebella processed for immunocytochemical labeling against CAD-28k. remaining IC animals under standard re-socialization between 62. results indicate that cells show a marked loss CAD-28k immunoreactivity, deficiency is recovered by later interaction, although thickness molecular layer remains reduced.
