摘要: Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) raised increasing concerns over the past years due to their persistence global distribution. Understanding occurrence in environment disruptive effect on physiology of humans wildlife remains a major challenge ecotoxicological studies. Here, we investigate several carboxylic sulfonic PFAS 105 individuals three seabird species (27 great black-backed gull Larus marinus; 44 lesser fuscus graellsii; 34 European herring argentatus) from South western France. We further estimated relationship between plasma concentrations i) body condition birds ii) thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (TT3). found that gulls Western France are exposed levels comparable highly contaminated other geographical areas, although emission sources (i.e. related industrial activities) absent region. additionally negatively associated with two studied species, these results sex-dependent. Finally, positive associations exposure TT3 gull, suggesting potential disrupting mechanism exposure. Although only data have been collected, investigated trend study period, document an concentration 2016 2018. Because might detrimental effects birds, French populations should be monitored since increase may impact population viability both short- long-term.
