The first record of Grateloupia subpectinata from the New Zealand region and comparison with G. prolifera, a species endemic to the Chatham Islands

摘要: A finely pinnately branched species of Grateloupia not seen previously in New Zealand was collected Tauranga, Zealand, growing on a tug boat. Molecular sequencing data (rbcL) revealed it to be subpectinata, first described from Japan, and also reported as native Korea China, introduced Britain, France, Australia. The only with morphology similar G. subpectinata the region is prolifera Chatham Islands. sequence this obtained for comparative purposes found distinct subpectinata.
