摘要: Abstract CD4 is a 55–60 kDa monomeric glycoprotein expressed on approximately 60% of peripheral blood T lymphocytes (R einherz et al. 1979; T erhorst et al. 1980). Originally identified as a phenotypic marker (R einherz et al. 1979; W ebb et al. 1979; D ialynas et al. 1983), a role for CD4 in the activation of T lymphocytes was indicated when anti-CD4 antibodies inhibited a variety of T lymphocyte effector functions in vitro (K rensky et al. 1982; S pits et al. 1982; W ilde et al. 1983; R ogozinski et al. 1984).
