摘要: This review discusses the development of neuroepithelium (NE) and its derivative ventricular zone (VZ), from which central nervous system (CNS) is formed. First, histological features NE VZ are summarized, highlighting phenomenon pseudostratification, achieved by polarization interkinetic nuclear migration (INM) neural progenitor cells. Next, our current understanding cellular molecular mechanisms biological significance INM pseudostratification outlined. The recent three-dimensional time-lapse observations revealing heterogeneity in cell lineages within also described, focusing on neuronal lineage. Finally, necessity comprehensive studies cell-cell interactions NE/VZ discussed, as well importance electrophysiological biomechanical approaches. In particular, we suggest that a systems biology approach to 'community' may be fruitful.
