摘要: Abstract Glass-ceramic frits of various sizes composed zinc aluminum calcium borosilicate (CaO B 2 O 3 SiO ZnO Al ) were prepared by mechanical milling and subsequent size selection the glass melt. Glass with mean particle 1.2 ± 0.9 μm, 2.9 ± 2.1 μm, 4.8 ± 2.3 μm successfully obtained using a two-step process combined gravity sedimentation centrifugation methods. Dilatometry, DTA, XRD, SEM, high-resolution TEM utilized to examine densification/crystallization behaviors produced materials, while properties sintered samples evaluated three-point bending test micro-indentation method. The results show that densification temperatures glasses notably lowered, strength indentation hardness increased as initial frit decreased ∼1 μm. observed enhancement is attributed pore reduction, small grain sizes, formation nano-sized crystalline phases in matrix.
