摘要: Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Hylan G-F 20 in recalcitrant shoulder hip osteoarthritisrelated pain function. Design: Retrospective review patients undergoing fluoroscopically-guided intra-articular injections for management osteoarthritis-related intractable pain. Age, gender, body mass index, number co-morbidities, use opiates, severity, location osteoarthritis (OA) were assessed as possible contributing factors to outcome. Months relief degree symptomatic improvement used assess clinical Setting: Metropolitan area Veterans Affairs Medical Center Subjects: 26 adults (undergoing 53 consecutive injections, 31 hip, 22 shoulder, performed over a 4 year period) suffering from OA who had previously failed conservative measures, including prior corticosteroid injections. Methods/Results: Injections provided effective up months approximately half with few experiencing during whole analysis period 24-30 months. No adverse events reported. Higher index statistically significant association worse outcome (shorter both joints). race, comorbidities, (hip versus shoulder) severity joint disease showed no effects on outcomes. Conclusions: In this retrospective review, osteoarthritis-associated appear be safe; better was observed lean individuals (particularly interesting non-weight-bearing joint) regardless disease.
