摘要: A 70-year-old woman with a history of medial femoro-tibial compartment knee osteoarthritis was admitted for acute arthritis six days after second intra-articular injection Hyaluronic acid. The joint fluid inflammatory, no crystals, and laboratory tests showed marked inflammation leading to antibiotic treatment suspected septic arthritis. persistent symptoms negative results blood cultures led discontinuation the therapy 10 days. Anti-inflammatory rehabilitation relieved symptoms, patient discharged home 3 weeks her admission. Aseptic induced by repeated acid is most likely diagnosis. Physicians should be conscious this extremely severe complication.
