摘要: Abstract The energy cost of three intensities aerobic dance (low, medium, and high) was determined on four graduate students at Teachers College, Columbia University. All subjects danced seven 2- to 3-minute routines alternated with six 15- 90-second recovery intervals continuous walking. dances were metabolically monitored a Max Planck respirometer which measured ventilation collected .06% sample expired air, then analyzed for O2 CO2 concentration. Values expressed as [Vdot]O2 l/minute, ml/kg/minute, consumption kcal/minute, kcal/kg/minute. Heart rates by telemetry every minute throughout the dance. women utilized 3.96 6.28 7.75 low, high intensity routines, respectively, while men 4.17 6.86 9.44 respectively. expenditure low routine similar walking ...
