摘要: Managing risk to human health and safety has, over the past two decades, become a dominant theme in government policy, public debate, media attention academic research. A striking feature of this growth has been increased role social scientists (working perception, judgment decision-making) debates that were initially characterized as completely based science technology. Examples include applications risk-perception research (Slovic, 1987), development normative theories regarding equity (Keeney, 1980), emergence communication field endeavor (National Research Council, 1989), characterization ‘mental models’ how lay-people experts think about decisions (Bostrom et al., 1992), preparation environmental impact statements (Gregory integration perception into evaluation risk-management options (McDaniels 1992). The application decision sciences problems management thus substantial.
