摘要: OBJECTIVE Several studies investigated the association between bisphosphonate use and risk of implant revision after total hip or knee arthroplasty (THA TKA); However, findings were inconsistent. We performed this meta-analysis to evaluate overall relative such an event. METHODS searched PubMed, EMBASE Cochrane library databases identify relevant publications on April 22, 2015. To calculate pooled ratios (RRs) with 95% confidential intervals (CIs), a fixed- random-effects model was applied based heterogeneity across studies. RESULTS Three cohort one case-control study included in meta-analysis. Compared nonusers, patients who used bisphosphonates for long period time had significantly decreased THA/TKA (summary adjusted RR = 0.48, CI: 0.38-0.61), summary RRs users underwent THA those TKA 0.47 (95% 0.36-0.61) 0.45 0.21-0.95), respectively. CONCLUSIONS Long-term is correlated THA/TKA. due limited number studies, present should be treated caution. More well-designed are required further confirm our findings.
