摘要: Stem cells are defined by both their ability to produce stem cells, a property known as self-renewal, and give rise differentiated progeny. One of the hallmarks tissue cell is its adoption non-dividing, undifferentiated state called quiescence. The sustain quiescence crucial for function in several tissues. In this review, we discuss how properties affected products tumor-related genes such ATM, PTEN FOXO. Recent advances research achieved using mouse genetics have provided novel evidence that numerous genes, which control genomic stability, proliferation survival, also closely associated with regulation self-renewal. These findings support notion cancer share common properties. Further investigation may pave way successful cell-based approaches regenerative medicine therapy.
