Surgical treatment of carotid paragangliomas

摘要: Abstract The present article reviews the current panorama of surgical treatment carotid paragangliomas. begins by discussing indications and preoperative aspects (Shamblins classification, value genetic study, informed consent, utility embolization, etc). Intraoperative (surgical team) features technique (the patients position, incision exposition, vessel control identification nerves, subadventitial or periadventitial tumoral excision, need for arterial resection reconstruction, etc.) are discussed in depth.
