摘要: ABSTRACT Carotid body and vagal paragangliomas, although considered indolent tumors, represent a challenge for the treating physician. This is mainly because of their peculiar localization, in close proximity with important anatomical structures. In addition, there no chemotherapy available these role radiation therapy debated, only successful surgery. However, to achieve best treatment goals, it fundamental professional caregiver master not clinical surgical procedures but also genetic backgrounds histopathological features tumors. We provide this chapter comprehensive review above mentioned aspects, aim address complexity tumors multidisciplinary approach.
