摘要: This study reports fatty acid profiles and vitamin A E contents of the milk harp seal (Phoca groenlandica) hooded (Cystophora cristata) throughout lactation period, as well standard compositional analyses. The for this was collected from seals breeding on pack ice in Gulf St. Lawrence. Mother-pup pairs were serially captured, or point-sampled, order to obtain samples during different stages. Milk lipids showed respective species' typical patterns lactation, with a significant increase relatively constant value milk. most acids remained stable over course both species. Vitamin content also quite through lactation. By contrast, underwent dramatic drop between day birth early midlactation seals. It then continued decrease at slower rate until end highest colostrum reached 125 mg/kg 200 These concentrations subsequently dropped 20-50 by mid changes lipophilic, antioxidizing not correlated lipid its polyunsaturated profiles.
