摘要: Abstract Background IgY isolated from egg yolk has been widely used in immunodiagnostic tests, including tests to detect circulating antigen (soluble or SEA) of Schistosoma japonicum . Results A sandwich ELISA was established using a combination anti- S. SEA-IgY polyclonal antibodies and IgM monoclonal antibodies. To explore sensitivity specificity the ELISA, serum samples 43 patients infected with were tested. All acute cases 91.3% chronic showed positive reaction. Only 5% control sera healthy persons gave response. Cross-reactions nine other parasites rare. Conclusion The developed immunoassay is reasonably sensitive specific. It could be for field research treatment efficacy assessments.
