摘要: Diabetes mellitus affects more than 150 million people worldwide, and the prevalence of disease is on increase. Cardiac death increased up to threefold in men fivefold women with diabetes. Insulin resistance one most important markers metabolic syndrome. There a close link between inflammation initiation/progression atheroma formation. Insulin resistant states induce generalized inflammatory state. Novel molecules that may inflammation, insulin resistance, atherosclerosis include leptin adiponectin. Inflammation can predispose thrombosis. The accumulation advanced glycation end (AGE) products diabetes impairs endothelial function, likely by quenching nitric oxide.
