摘要: Abstract Ecosystem services are embedded with multiple values. Capturing and integrating plural perspectives when conducting ecosystem studies is a recognized need yet challenge. This paper proposes participatory approach that fosters articulation of values allowing the integration different value dimensions to inform decision-making processes, an important challenge has been gaining traction in field research. Using participation as articulating institution, stakeholder groups Portuguese marine coastal Arrabida Natural Park were engaged process included collaborative workshop articulate expressed by ecological, economic social criteria two contexts: assessment project alternatives for regulating access beaches recreational activities conflict related allocation vineyard areas. Results demonstrate proposed deliberative fostered changes participants’ initial mental models created new insights, namely generating additional alternatives, expanding perceptions on affected ES, helping formalization evaluation decision rules, thus supporting protected
