摘要: A synthesis of the authors’ experience with evaluation and implementation management procedures in Australasia, southern Africa, International Whaling Commission (IWC) is presented. The development operating models for testing such fisheries question over their respective ranges uncertainty, together statistics used to assess procedure performances, are considered first, then suggestions made that increasing making it possible develop a minimal set key factors include robustness trials. Some general lessons drawn, primarily from IWC’s process developing its Revised Management Procedure. Further issues discussed are: candidate selection principle practice, extent desirable, link research priorities, reception accorded approach by industry decision-makers. seen have potential benefits annual assessment basis determination Total Allowable Catch, but problem areas remain concern definition risk relative weights be various scenarios (of differing plausibilities) tests. 1999 Council Exploration Sea
